Dear Reader,
The Jewish tradition of yahrtzeit, remembering and honoring the anniversary of the death of a loved one, is both a personal and communal act.
The first anniversary of the October 7 Hamas terror attack that took the lives of hundreds of innocent men, women and children is being marked with many forms of memorials in Israel, the U.S. and around the world. To personalize the experience of honoring those killed that awful day, a project called “We Remember Them” invites us to light a virtual Yahrtzeit candle in memory of an individual victim by clicking HERE.
May this simple act of honor and remembrance bring a ray of light to offset the darkness.
Am Yisrael Chai
