Shabbat Shalom, and looking ahead
Hi all, and thank you for your support in this new venture.
Just a heads-up for now to let you know I plan to report next week on the three-day international Jewish Funders Network conference, which will be virtual this year.
With a membership of more than 2,500 private foundations and philanthropists dedicated to enhancing Jewish life, JFN plays an influential role in the U.S., Israel and throughout the diaspora -- and especially at a moment of great financial need due to the pandemic.
This year’s conference will explore the long-term impact of this critical time as well as the immediate priorities. And it will focus on how -- and whether -- we should return to pre-Covid Jewish communal life.
Also coming up, a look at how JewBelong, a cheeky website seeking to engage non-affiliated Jews through a heavy dose of humor, is gearing up for Passover. One of its ads reminds us that No, The Four Questions is not the name of a Motown group…
And I’ll be looking at the increasing Jewish presence on Clubhouse, the hot new social media app offering audio chat rooms on every topic you could imagine.
Hope you’ll stay in touch…
