A consortium of religious institutions in my community has resettled a few Afghan families, but more need to do the same.

I am a U.S. citizen and worked for USAID and DoD. I am in the U.S. currently but my LPR wife and three children are stuck in Afghanistan facing the extreme danger and are in urgent need for evacuation. I can't even describe it in words what I, my wife and our children are going through the 6-months. Man! it is very difficult. I just want my family to get out of Afghanistan before it is too late. I thank you all for putting the efforts in helping us.

I greatly admire the efforts of Mr. Wolf and others to support Afghan allies of the U.S. and our allies' families who are currently trapped in their homeland and in danger. Yes, as Jews we should be among the first to understand what all this means for people who are vulnerable. I have just donated to Operation Recovery and am grateful to Mr. Wolf and to Gary Rosenblatt for bringing this urgent message to my attention.

I'd also like to note two things. The Montagnards weren't the only South Vietnamese who allied with and fought with the United States in what Vietnamese call "the American War." Consequently, they weren't the only Vietnamese horribly left behind when the U.S. finally gave up and left.

I respectfully but strongly differ with Mr. Wolf's views on our country's past wars--including those in Indochina and Afghanistan--and our country's questionable "honor." Nevertheless, I encourage everyone to support our Afghani allies through Operation Recovery, through resettlement efforts, and in any other meaningful ways.
