Too soon to thank Trump, who I believe only joined the fray because he saw it as an easy attention-grabber. Watch out for a losing follow through.

The NYC Demo primary shows how polarized the American electorate has become; flash over substance now rules both extremes. Inexperience will again show through.

I hope you're right about inexperience hampering the man who will likely be the next mayor. But surprises could happen. As the old saying goes, 'it isn't over till the fat lady sings.'

Another very thoughtful piece. I've been thinking of late, what a topsy-turvy world we live in, when people we reasonably hate, do something good, & people we've long admired disappoint.

Trump is Trump and will be Trump. He wants to enter history books as a hero peacemaker.

I am more concerned with Zohran and his especially dangerous rhetoric camouflaged in moral appeals—“taking care of the poor” or “uplifting the middle class.” These slogans are a skillful veneer, a smokescreen. Behind them lie proposals that not only lack fiscal sustainability—something we’ve seen firsthand—but also appeal to a generation of underemployed youth desperate for easy solutions, many of whom lack the historical or economic literacy to recognize the risks.

His rhetoric is a call to violence. He is using the normalization of radical language under the guise of protecting free expression. When a public official defends the phrase “globalize the intifada,” as he did recently in an interview with The Bulwark, and claims “the role of mayor is not to police language,” something is indisputably wrong. Not allowing calls for the extermination of the Jewish people is not “policing language.” It is the most basic standard of civic decency (which we appear to be losing rapidly). Beneath his language of care lies a goal of destabilizing. It concerns me that the younger generation might be swept up in this rhetoric of "care."

Those Muslims are planning on taking over the world. It's really ashamed that Jews like you can't see this truth.

From one Jew to Another!
