I just had to comment on the wording of your headline, even without having read your post. I fear people will be disappointed to discover that there will be no such thing as "eradicating" Hamas. Life just doesn't work that way. No matter how hard one tries, the best one can do is to marginalize such organizations and networks. You can't totally wipe them out. Many observers and analysts have brought this up in recent days in response to maximalist, unrealistic rhetoric.
